Bankruptcy Law
The firm provides a full range of services in representing debtors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13. We also represent creditors, both secured and unsecured, in bankruptcy court and have been retained often as special counsel to Chapter 7 Trustees in a variety of adversary proceedings. Assaf & Mackenzie has a wealth of experience in conducting trials before the bankruptcy court, including the first business valuation trial conducted in the Northern District, resulting in the divestiture of stock ownership in a 100-year-old family held corporation and the transfer of ownership to a committee of unsecured creditors. In addition to its bankruptcy practice, the firm has an active practice in loan restructurings and workouts as well as acting as counsel to turn-around specialists in pre and post- bankruptcy scenarios.
